Really Inspired.. I heard all songs of race film are inspired from a korean film. There are some phamous music directors in our Bollywood who always get inspiration from other composers world wide.

hahaha!!! what a load of crap! Where is the originality gone!! :D

  • Vijay // June 13, 2008 at 4:31 am | Reply

So now they have started copying from Korean films? Wow…

  • Xylene // June 13, 2008 at 4:40 am | Reply

    Harsha,
I guess the Koreans should sue bollywood for this. I am sure bollywood made hell lot of money than the original Korean song.
    Nikhil,
its total crap man. totally !.
    Vijay,
what else can they do. They know for sure that none in India are gonna watch those Korean movies, so its best to just copy–edit and add hindi lyrics get a nasal singer and voila u got a blockbuster song that will sell like pancakes.

somebody said somwhere, “Imitation is the best form of flattery”.

Indian film makers do it in the purest form! ;)

    :D

I wish I could take this light and laugh…but right now am in a lousy mood. grrrr because of my recent expereince!
In any case, I know these songs win an award! you know what happened at the national awards, munnabhai’s music got an award! A National award!! what a shame. And that pal pal song is a direct lift from cliff richard.

  • Xylene // June 13, 2008 at 7:51 am | Reply

    Sakhi,
haha. they will say that and much more. I mean how can they just copy and then say thing to support it??? I mean will they let us copy at examinations and let us go if we say “I was just trying to get inspired” ??????
    :D
    Dinu,
yeah almost all his songs are Korean. I think they should introduce a new kinda award, the Inspiration award.
    Nita,
Laugh Nita, be cool. Dont ruin your days coz of that incident.
The song receiving an award is a national shame indeed. I wonder what they were thinking!

Ah yes, this is fairly common. Not only movie plots, we also pick up movie music. Makes me want to explore Thai and Korean music more because these guys are actually good.

And it’s not just the music we copy. I even saw a music video that was completely copied from a very popular music band. And that video became very popular too.

  • Sakhi // June 13, 2008 at 8:42 am | Reply

:) don’t even think of trying to copy in exams! :) :)

    And, you are tagged!

  • Xylene // June 13, 2008 at 9:47 am | Reply

    ish,
this made me explore some of the songs in youtube. its damn good. no wonder the bollywood is inspired.
    Sakhi,
I did once and was caught red handed by my teacher. I will make a post about that experience. :)

  • Vijay // June 13, 2008 at 10:40 am | Reply

Xylene you are right.. not many people are aware of Korean movies and songs.

The fact that they copy story lines and songs with such impunity is disgusting… inspiration is different this is CRASS copying…

Which is why major hollywood movie makers have their legal beagles in India.

  • Xylene // June 13, 2008 at 2:14 pm | Reply

vijay, yes, I guess the koreans should sue Bollywood.
